Senior Year Journal
Beginning of the End
As senior year is getting to a start I am exited to see what is to come this year. I took some classes that might prove to be really difficult but I am exited to see how my senior year will play out. This year I am taking Physics, AP Spanish, AP English Literature, and Accounting 2. These classes are the ones I expect to either be really difficult or have a lot of assignments. I will however work hard to stay on pace in these classes to make sure my Senior Year turns out well.
Halfway There
It is now November, and so far senior year is going great, I took the SAT last month and am content with the score I received. I also have finished all of my college applications. I applied to 4 CSU's and 4 UC's. Out of the eight I applied to I am really interested in San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz. I plan to major in Business Administration with a concentration in either accounting or finance. I have been enrolled in two accounting classes in High School, Accounting 1 which I took my junior year and Accounting 2 which I am currently enrolled in.
End of 1st Semester
First semester is over and I think that even though I finished with a decent GPA, I didnt reach my full potential. I could have done somethings differently, but I am a person who likes to live in the present and I will reflect on this semester and use it as a learning experience. I missed a lot of school because of my trip to mexico, and I learned that I shouldn't miss so much school because even though I received packets from all my classes to make sure I didn't fall too behind it wasn't enough and some teachers expected more work than what they had handed me to complete. Like I said before I will use this experience to make sure It doesn't happen again. On a more positive note I qualified for the FBLA State Conference and am looking foward to competing in Sacramento. I also have a entrepreneurship competition that I will be competing in late march.
Getting closer to my Exit Interview
My exit interview is getting closer and I am a little nervous about how I am going to do. I currently have a lot on my plate, I have my senior exit interview next week ,a entrepreneurship competition in two weeks, a college placement exam in two weeks, ,as well as the FBLA State Conference coming up in a couple of weeks. All these important events coming up in a short amount of time are really stressing me out. I really hope my exit interview goes well because I do not the added pressure of having to re do my interview before graduation. I have somewhat made up my mind on what college I want to attend next year, I will probably end up attending San Jose State University next year. I was accepted into the Business Program a couple weeks ago and I am really looking forward to living in the center of the Silicon Valley.
